Facts
Local benefits for Älvdalen Municipality
We are working on renewable energy projects in the Nordics to accelerate the climate transition, supply the industry with clean energy, promote local development, and strengthen energy supply security.
For wind power projects to succeed, it is essential that both residents and municipalities benefit from the value created when land is made available. In this way, wind power not only contributes to the production of fossil-free electricity but also generates concrete and long-term benefits for the local community.
As part of this commitment, Fu-Gen offers a so-called “community wind fund” – a setup designed to strengthen the local economy. Just like our investments in green energy, the fund is a long-term commitment. Funds from the local wind fund are distributed annually throughout the entire lifespan of the wind farm, benefiting the surrounding area and in close collaboration with the local community. The funds can, for example, be used for initiatives that improve local infrastructure, strengthen tourism, or preserve and develop natural and cultural environments in and around Älvdalen Municipality.
